Waste car bumper bars are collected from smash repair shops across the Sydney basin. They are sorted into their polymer types most commonly PP (polypropylene) and ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). They are then manually checked for contamination such as metal clips or other plastic components for example headlights.
The bumper bars are fed into a shredder and granulated to produce a recycled car bumper bar plastic flake approximately 10mm.
